Annie Orphan/Youth Auditions (ages 6-13):

Step 1: Sign-In

Arrive early!

Arrive prior to the noted start time as each person auditioning will need to complete an audition form.

Step 2: Singing Auditions #1

Each person auditioning for an orphan will be taught a song from the show as a group.

Once the song has been learned, each person who completed an audition form will be required to sing the song by themselves.

Step 3: Dance Auditions

At this point, those asked to stay after the first singing audition, will be taught a

short dance routine. After learning the routine, everyone will dance in small groups.

Step 4: Singing Auditions #2

Everyone left auditioning for an orphan role will be asked to learn another song

from the show. Once they have learned the song as a group, they will be asked to sing the song as a solo.

Step 5: Callback Announcements

The casting staff will adjourn to discuss who will be called back for the full call-

backs on Wednesday (May 22) AND who of that group is being considered for the title role of Annie*.

*Any Annie contenders will be asked to return on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the

regular auditions to see her with any adult cast potentials.

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals for Annie will begin Sunday, May 26, 2024.

The cast should expect a Sunday through Thursday rehearsal schedule leading up to tech week.

Rehearsal times on Sunday will be late afternoon/early evening (approximately 1:00-4:00 or 5:00).

Rehearsal times Monday thru Thursday will start at 6:30 p.m. and run until 9/9:30 p.m. each night up until

tech week (when we will run closer to 10/1030).

Knowing your conflicts early is VERY important in helping us get the most out of each rehearsal we have.

All rehearsals will be specifically scheduled, and you may not be called for every one of them. That said,

we will do our best to not waste anyone’s time and work around schedules as we can.

PRODUCTION DATES

July 11, 12, 13*, & 14

*There will be a matinee and evening performance on this date

(you must be available for both performances)

All performances will be held in the West Platte Performing Arts Center.
